VITAL while working as a team member, of the St. Croix Walkability Team was instrumental in having the concept plan for pathways and parks in St. Croix submitted to the Governors Task Force, along with the guiding principles document that was created by the Walkability Island Teams. This work was focused on assisting the Task Force to identify health related initiatives while they prepared for the rebuilding efforts in the post-hurricane recovery period for the Territory. This combined effort was focused on advancing the need for pedestrian supported infrastructure to improve the quality of health for all residents and to promote active live styles that would reduce chronic illness and obesity in the Territory.
