UPDATE:  VITAL in partnership with the DPW has submitted a request to the HFA for funding to meet unmet needs along this road way.  If successful this funding would provide benches, bike racks, possible transit inclusion and park-lets.

This project is a current project being worked on by the DPW.  Temporary road repairs have started on this section.  VITAL and partners are working with the DPW to have a separate pedestrian supported pathway along this waterfront road section, to promote walking/biking in the area.  This segment would connect the new sports complex users to trails through the Scenic Rd and beyond, as well as connecting to the planned UVI sports facility.  This segment will encourage active lifestyles for residents, increase foot traffic in the Historical Town supporting businesses and expanding options for visitors.

This projects partners are the Dept. of Public Works, VITAL, Clean Sweep Frederiksted, Chant, SUCCEED, and community residents.
