Aaron Hutchins

Aaron Hutchins grew up in Frederiksted and has been riding mountain bikes on St Croix since he was a child. He co founded the Virgin Islands Trail Alliance and now serves as its board president, leading trail planning, design and community projects that connect residents and visitors to the islands natural places. An entrepreneur and business owner, Aaron runs Leatherback Brewing Company. He has a long history of conservation work and public service, including years with the Department of Planning and Natural Resources and with The Nature Conservancy, and in April 2023 he was appointed to the Virgin Islands Territorial Park Board of Trustees. Outside his professional work he races locally, mentors young people through trail building projects, and advocates for responsible outdoor recreation and land conservation.
